This day unfolds brand new

This day unfolds brand new

This day god cleans her instrument

Polishing and tuning it

Clearing away every grumble of dust

Restoring it to the way she’d created it

And so, renewed and ready

this instrument joins the

orchestra of Life

playing its particular part and

parts

Perfectly tuned to be

no better and no worse

than all god’s other instruments

So awake to its perfect place

Ordained by Infinite Intelligence

in its ever unfolding grace

along with wild fly and bamboo

with dispersing cloud and rushing stream

along with baby’s gurgle and hyena’s cackle

this human instrument

takes its place in

the wild orchestra of Life
