You have a small mind, a conditioned mind, a mind that has been taught and programmed. This is the mind that you call ‘I’, ‘me’ and whatever your name is. This is the mind you refer to each time you say, ‘I am Lucy’, ‘I am Joe’ and so on.
Your ‘small’ mind is conditioned by fear and the beliefs, attitudes, values and habits associated with it.
It is a mind that has been conditioned by fear and the beliefs, attitudes and values associated with it. So, it is in this mind that you experience shame, unworthiness, lack, anger, jealousy, envy, unforgiveness, resentment, hatred, despair, inferiority, superiority, chaos, confusion, disquiet, limitation and all those things that get in the way of your natural great peace and joy.
This mind is enslaved by its habits of thought, belief, attitude and values. It is a creation of history. And it is weak. This is why it is forever needing to protect itself, defend itself. It does this by craving, attaching, attacking others, finding fault, judging, hating, avoiding and manipulating.
What is more, it is always seeking to rationalize and justify itself. In this regard, it is exceedingly insecure.No amount of reasoning, rationalizing, convincing, affirming, excusing, pardoning or forgiving can ever make this mind feel secure.
But you also have an infinite mind, an unconditioned mind, a mind that has not been and cannot be taught, programmed, rehearsed or scripted. It is the natural mind of Love. In this mind or state of consciousness, you experience all that feels good – love, joy, peace, confidence, excitement, enthusiasm, curiosity, openness, possibility, creativity and so on.
It is this mind that is FREE. It is completely unscripted, limitless and infinite in its possibility. ‘Impossible’, ‘hard’, ‘effort’, ‘struggle’, ‘worth’, ‘reward’, ‘punishment’ and so on are unknown to it. Its nature is ever presence, ever here, ever now. It responds naturally, effortlessly, lovingly, peacefully, joyously, freely.
Truth cannot be destroyed, it cannot be enhanced and it cannot be surpassed.
It is not constrained by habit or history. It is fully and freely expressive. And it is powerful. In this regard, it is completely and always at ease, never needing to defend itself, justify itself. You see, it is the mind of TRUTH and truth is something that cannot be destroyed, enhanced or surpassed.
In truth, there is only ONE mind and all that is emanates from it. However, within this one mind, you can experience various states of consciousness such as the state of consciousness of your SMALLNESS and the state of consciousness of your INFINITE GREATNESS.
If you want to live a joyous, free, abundant and powerful life, you must familiarize yourself with your free mind, your mind of Love. That is the only way you will ever get out of the cycle of conditioned, learned, habitual thinking and behaviour where every form of suffering, of unhappiness, of lack feels real and threatening. That is the only way you will live the life of freedom, peace, abundance and joy that you so deeply desire.
